Fully insulated shielded copper tube busbar is essentially a busbar product that uses copper tubes as conductors and external insulation. It is called "tubular cable" abroad. The fully insulated shielded copper tube busbar has high current, with a maximum current carrying capacity of 12000A, high mechanical strength, good insulation, and a wide range of applications.

Therefore, it is increasingly recognized and accepted by more and more customers. In foreign countries, such products have decades of operating history and experience, while in China, due to the short time of entering this field, as well as limitations in technology research and development capabilities and insulation materials, production and application are mainly focused on products with voltage levels of 0.4KV to 35KV.

Scope of Application

Copper tube busbar is most suitable for substations with voltages ranging from 0.4 to 40.5kV; New, renovated with large capacity and small footprint. Suitable for substations, power plants, and factory substations to replace exposed busbars and cables.

Structural Features

High current carrying capacity, low skin effect, and low power consumption. Insulated copper tube busbar is a hollow conductor with a large surface area, uniform current density distribution on the conductor surface, and low skin effect coefficient. Compared to multiple rectangular conductors, it has the same load. In the flowing state, the AC resistance of the high-voltage insulated tube busbar is very small, so the power loss of the busbar is very small.

Good heat dissipation conditions, low temperature rise, and high voltage insulated tubular busbars are hollow conductors. In the application of natural insulated copper tube busbars in new projects, the inner diameter air duct of the busbar can form hot air convection. The heat dissipation conditions are good.

Large cross-sectional coefficient and high mechanical strength. Due to the tubular nature of the conductor, it has a large cross-sectional coefficient and high mechanical strength. Can be arranged over a large span while reducing the number of busbar supports. In the case of a short-circuit current of 50kA, the suspended span of the Φ 100 × 5mm copper tube busbar is 9 meters, and the busbar can be supported by the busbar bracket, with a busbar span of up to 13 meters.

High electrical insulation performance. The high-voltage insulated tubular busbar adopts a sealed shielding insulation method, and the grounding potential of the shell is zero. Shielded insulation tube type busbar has uniform electric field distribution, strong electrical insulation performance, and good weather resistance.

Strong earthquake resistance and simplified installation. High voltage insulated tubular busbars can be directly fixed on steel structure frames or concrete supports, eliminating the need for wall sleeves and post insulators, and have strong seismic resistance. The busbar structure is simple, the layout is clear, the installation is convenient, and maintenance free operation is required.

Insulation materials have high heat resistance, aging resistance, and high insulation performance. The main insulation material for insulated tubular busbars is polytetrafluoroethylene, which can operate at temperatures ranging from -250 ℃ to+340 ℃ . It has excellent electrical performance and chemical stability. Low loss, flame retardant, aging resistant, with a service life of ≥ 30 years.

Not affected by environmental interference, high reliability, and low maintenance workload. The high-voltage insulated tubular busbar is covered with insulation, with no condensation inside, eliminating the influence of external factors such as moisture and dust, and has high reliability. The high-voltage insulated tubular busbar adopts single machine sealing andshielding insulation, reliable grounding, can completely avoid all short-circuit faults, high reliability, and low maintenance.
